Who is Lucifer?
He is you. She is you. We are all Lucifer.
Not the fallen angel. Not the villain. Just a common person — rushing, carrying, giving — and somewhere in between, quietly losing themselves.
Lucifer is the one who wakes before dawn to catch the first train. The one whose phone buzzes with EMI reminders before the morning chai has cooled. The one holding up a family's hopes, a child's education, a parent's dream, a partner's world — all at once, all quietly, all without asking for applause.
Lucifer is not extraordinary. That is precisely the point. Lucifer is found in every office cubicle, every crowded metro, every late-night kitchen, every corporate meeting where someone smiles and says 'I'm fine' when they are anything but.
And somewhere between the rushing and the giving and the surviving — Lucifer lost himself. Herself. Themselves. The thoughts that used to come freely. The words that used to matter. The silence that used to feel like rest instead of emptiness.
Where these words come from
These poems are not written at a desk with a candle and a clear mind. They arrive in the middle of things — on a crowded commute, mid-conversation with family, at a party where the music is loud but the thoughts are louder, in the quiet after a long day when the world has finally gone to sleep.
They are about silence and longing. About love and care. About friendship and the strange grief of growing up. About the things we carry and the things we leave behind. About being human in a world that rarely slows down long enough to notice.
This is for all of us
From one Lucifer to every other Lucifer — across this world, and up above. You are not alone in the rushing. You are not alone in the losing. And you are not alone in the quiet moments when something inside you still reaches for beauty, for words, for a feeling you cannot quite name.
That reaching — that is what this space is for.
